About the Item

A vintage Mid-Century Modern Italian pendant made of hand blown clear Murano glass, designed and produced by Archimede Seguso and Seguso Vetri D’Arte, in good condition. The detailed round flower vase chandelier is supported by a brass beam, featuring a three light socket. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use. circa 1950 - 1960, Venice, Italy. View all Seguso Vetri D’Arte originals in our collection. The Seguso Familly is an Italian Murano glasswork, manufacturer founded by Antonio Filius Seguxi in 1397, in Venice, Italy. Until today, the Seguso Family is able to trace their uninterrupted lineage of glassmakers back over six centuries. In 1605, they were added to the Libro d’Oro of Murano. By 1792, the Seguso Family crest was imprinted on the osella coin of Venice. The Seguso Family is one of the most prestigious, historical and valued glass manufacturers in Venice.
