Large Murano glass chandelier designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega, featuring three flared plates of handblown Murano glass in a flower (petal) form design, the color ranging from brown to white, incredible lighting effect at night.

With the 1960s came the accentuated use of glass elements and vintage Italian lights manufacturing companies like Venini and Mazzega had a strong influence on the modernization of lighting design during the 1960’s.
Influenced by the craze for the use of raw material, experimentation in art and culture and the revolutionary hippie movements, lights incorporated elements of modernist design which let the material and colours speak for itself, a trend which would be soon followed by the like of Orrefors, Kalmar and Limburg.
