About the Item

Central pendant by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in 1967 - Classic grey hanging lamp in very good vintage condition! A medium sized light grey, almost white, cylinder shaped pendant with the Classic Jo Hammerborg band in a dark grey lacquer. The cylinder shade has a white inner coating for optimal reflection of the light, while the bright red, almost orange, inner coating on the band reflects color onto the cylinder shade when the lamp is lit. Open towards the top and bottom to ensure a good distribution of light upwards and downwards. Minimalistic design that subtle adds Classic midcentury beauty to the modern home - and colored reflection on the cylinder shade only adds to the overall beauty! Jo Hammerborg designed the Central in 1967 and it was produced in four color variations; the inner coating of the dark grey band could be white, blue, red or green, reflecting their respectively color onto the cylinder shade. Condition: The version I have for up for sale here is the Central with bright red, almost orange, inner coating on the dark grey band and it is in very good vintage condition with few signs of usage and age - there is a few superficial scratches on the cylinder shade (see photo 4), no dints or dents! Please check the photos! All original, and no parts missing, but rewired with 2 m (6' 6.7") high end quality, black fabric cord - for safety and beauty. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labelled and packed in protective bag. Light source: One bulb, Edison screw-fitting (E27/E26) max 100 watt.
