About the Item

FLORA NO. 4 J.M. Szymanski D. 2024 What is the architecture of a flower? FLORA, a lighting collection by J.M. Szymanski, explores a flower's remarkable form. The collection is a link between nature and the built environment. Made proudly in NYC! Hand-hewn iron details are produced in our Bronx, NY studio. This rich metal is combined with hand-blown glass to make an exciting material combination. Custom sizes and colors available. - UL Certified upon request - Custom drop heights available - Drop height to be specified by client - Custom colors available (always check with me before telling a client a specific color can be done as there are some limitations) - Canopy - 5” Diameter x 1” - Works with standard 120v electricity - Bulb and socket type - E26 - (except the FLORA No. 4 - This is a E10 socket and bulb) Our products are fabricated and finished by hand, so variations in size, shape, and patina color are a natural result of this process. Tooling marks and surface scratches are part of the character of many finished pieces. All products are sealed with oil and wax, which, over time, are not impervious to moisture. Our blackened steel pieces installed outside or in areas exposed to moisture indoors, especially in marine environments, will rust. Condensation from hot and cold drinks will leave rings on blackened steel table tops. Coasters or placemats can protect the finish. Periodic maintenance of blackened steel items may be required.
