Danish Art Deco Chandelier with Glass Bowls in Alabaster look
About the Item
This rare early Danish Art Deco chandelier once adorned a middle-class apartment. The elaborate glass bowls with an elaborate marble look are really something special, the edge of the bowls is elaborately designed with a marble look by glass artists, the base of the bowl is kept neutral so that the lamp gives off an uncoloured light, in the middle of the chandelier there is a glass shade which gives off a warm, soft light into its surroundings. The chandelier is operated with E27 bulbs, the three outer lights and the middle light can be switched separately. The wiring of the chandelier dates from the time it was made and is functional. The brass replicas were machine-burnished. This chandelier is lightweight and is therefore ideal for ceilings with a low load-bearing capacity. The glass is well maintained and in perfect condition for its age.
