About the Item

Beautiful Art Deco pendant light with a bronze sculpture (probably of Dione, goddess of water). If you are looking for a truly stylish and top quality made antique light fixture to grace your dining room or kitchen then this handcrafted pendant from the 1920s could be perfect for you. This marvelous chandelier comes with a stylized bronze sculpture of (we think) Dione, the goddess of water and this unique and beautiful design is as Art Deco as they come. With everything that is going on in the world today, the importance of water for preserving life on our planet was never more topical. This too makes this Art Deco light fixture truly timeless and interesting. This fixture can almost only be by one the great European designers and makers of the Art Deco era but unfortunately we don't know which. Because of the similarities in the design we have attributed this rare chandelier to Dagobert Peche, but we don't know this for sure. Fortunately you will not be looking at a name, but at one of the most beautiful Art Deco chandeliers of its kind. Both with the light switched on and off, the bronze arms and cups with their stylish patterns combine perfectly with the white and black colors of the mint condition alabaster shades. Thanks to the brass chain and canopy we (or you) can also adjust the height to one that is perfect for you. We have said it before and we'll say it again here, but especially the alabaster shades are so much better looking in real life than in our photos.
