French Art Deco Chromed Brass and Frosted Glass Pendant Light by Noverdy, 1930s

About the Item

French Art Deco pendant light with frosted white glass lamp shade/bowl by Jean Noverdy, circa the 1930s. This beautifully shaped white frosted glass bowl features stylized flower and leaf decoration, marked on the edge ”Noverdy France Depose” and hung on a chrome-plated brass fixture. One new socket for E 27 (E26) size light bulb. Dimensions: Diameter 39.5 cm / 15.55 in, height 43 cm / 16.92 in. In good condition with some signs of aging and use. Small signs of use - small chips on the glass on the fixture holes. The supporting brass frame has chrome losses which underline its authenticity and beautiful aging. The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is tested and fitted by a qualified electrician.
