About the Item

An original and unusual Mid-century, machine age pendant light crafted from spun aluminum featuring concentric circles in alternating matte and polished finishes. Bearing a label MAZDA to the interior. in 1921 a firm called Compagnie des Lampes was created. It later became a major player in the field of lighting in France, notably through its brand Mazda. The fixture is suspended by a central tubular pole, topped with a circular canopy and ending in a substantial bullet finial. With its subtle detailing, sleek modernist lines, and contrasting metallic finishes, this chandelier would be a perfect addition to any interior style, from Classic Mid-Century Modern to Minimalist, Industrial, Organic Modern, Contemporary, Italian design, Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, Art Moderne... A period example such as this remains highly sought after to those with a discerning eye for clean architectural design and originality. Flying saucer, sputnik, space age Since this light has a slide canopy, the installer can adjust it (depending on your preference) to hang between 24- 26" total ht. Will be disassembled for packing.
