About the Item
Introducing the Ligurian Summer Collection, a sophisticated family of handmade fixtures in natural sea shell, coiled leather, marble, and bamboo, inspired by the faded splendor of the northern Italian coast.
We've made quite a few lamps out of antique parasols over the years, but this is our first hanging pendant. Arriving just in time for porch season, Model No. 030 is a limited-edition series of extra-large, water-resistant oil-paper pendants constructed from deadstock 1950s Japanese parasols.
Reflecting the signature tones and old-world patina of its namesake comune—with hand-painted, bottle-green high-gloss lacquer accents, unlacquered-brass hardware, and a 16-foot coffee-brown acrylic-covered cord with vintage-style plug—it lends a cosmopolitan air to covered outdoor areas, but looks equally smart indoors.
Made-to-order by hand in a numbered, signed edition of 11 by artist Christopher Tennant.
