Italian 19th Century Louis XVI St. Gilt Wood and Alabaster Chandelier

About the Item

A striking Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. giltwood and Alabaster chandelier. The six-arm chandelier is centered by an exceptional and most decorative bottom Alabaster dome showcasing the beautiful veins. Each of the elegantly curved arms branches out from a beautiful wrap-around mottled berried laurel band and display fine scrolled designs, Greek keys, richly carved acanthus leaves, and lovely fluted bobeches and candle cups. The tied ropes with ball reserves lead upwards to a charming tassel and richly carved acanthus leaf-designed canopy.
