Reggiani of Italy 1970s Chrome & Glass Lens Abstract Chandelier
About the Item
A wonderful 1970s geometric and abstract chrome and glass chandelier attributed to the Italian lighting company Reggiani. Twelve-light. Below each light is a suspended square plate with glass lens inset into it. The lens has a dome center and frosted wide rim. The dome magnifies the light and creates a lovely optical effect when viewed from below. Candelabra sockets. Body of chandelier is 27.5 inches square and 36 inches tall. Original matching ceiling canopy. Shown with small 15 watt bulbs but may use the globe or torpedo shape. Some wear the chrome finish with two spots of chrome loss where two arms attach to the central rod. Located in The Showplace Antique + Design Center in NYC.
