A small vintage wall lamp in brass, glass and plastic wrap on shade manufactured by Valinte in Finland in the 1950s. The lamp model is 2335 and is the 1950s Valinte catalogue. The lamp is petit and has an East Asian design vibe with a hat like shade topping a glass one surrounded by a brass base.
The 1950s is known as the golden age for Finnish lighting. Mid-Century Modern lamps like this one were made by a few different companies in 1950s Finland. Valinte, Itsu, Taito, Idman and Orno were some of the leading lighting manufacturers in mid-century Finland, that defined what Finnish design lighting would become. The lamp is stamped by the manufacturer on the back.
The item is in good vintage condition, and the patina is true to it's age. The item is stamped "Valinte" by the manufacturer (refer to pictures).
