Stunning and rare Art Deco alabaster chandelier, from early 20th-century, Italy.
This exceptional chandelier stands out for its unusual design, with three hand-carved alabaster shades positioned closely around the center, a rare departure from the more common radial or widely spaced arrangements of the period. The craftsmanship is superb: each shade is perfectly rounded, finely polished, and showcases striking natural veining.
The boldness of this composition reflects the mastery of the Italian artisan(s) who created it. The interplay of smooth geometry and organic stone patterns results in a truly eye-catching piece. When illuminated, it casts a warm, atmospheric glow that enhances any interior.
Each shade houses an E26 socket and, apart from two discreet repairs, the chandelier remains in very good condition. It has been rewired to modern safety standards for immediate use worldwide and can accommodate three bulbs of up to 80 watts each, more than enough to create the perfect ambiance for any occasion.
