Vintage Space Age German Chrome and Glass Ceiling Lamp by Motoko Ishii, 1970s
About the Item
Impressive space age ceiling or wall lamp from staff based on a design by japanese designer motoko ishii.
A simple, cylindrical shaft forms the base of the lamp. At the top end of the cylinder there is a small e14 socket over which a mirrored glass ball is screwed. The lamp closes to the wall with a plate. A special element is the screwable glass ball, which protects the lamp and visually enlarges it. The actually small e14 bulb takes on the appearance of a globe bulb. The transparent volume gives the whole design a certain lightness. the lamp is in very good condition with few signs of wear.
this piece has an attribution mark, up to 250v (europe/uk standard). The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
