Modernist Hand Blown White Murano Glass and Polished Brass Hourglass Floor Lamps
About the Item
This stunning and dramatic pair of floor lamps were realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. They feature octagonal brushed brass bases with faceted inverse hourglass form white hand blown Murano glass elements banded at their junction points with octagonal supports, also in brass. The glass offers an abundance of subtle texture- small organic murines- lending these segments the suggestion of effervescent water. With their understated, yet vibrant palate, and clean modernist lines, this pair of floor lamps would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition. The lamps come fitted with custom shades.
