About the Item
An impressive and very handsome pair of Italian 18th century Baroque st. Giltwood and patinated wood floor lamps. Each wonderful column that has been turned into a floor lamp is raised by a patinated forest green mottled edge square base and supported on four fine square feet in each corner. Atop the patinated base is the circular mottled edge plinth decorated by finely carved acanthus leaves. The shaft of each floor lamp has a central reserve of foliate designs. The top capital is decorated similarly to the plinth with its carved acanthus leaf designs, however the mottled display platform above is squared. On the display platform is a patinated candle stick serving as the central fut with two electrified bulbs above.
