A pair of Italian 18th century Louis XVI st. Giltwood floor lamps
About the Item
A monumental and impressive pair of Italian 18th century Louis XVI st. Giltwood floor lamps. Each wonderful candle stand that has been turned into a lamp is raised by a triangular base with acanthus leaf carvings and supported on paw feet. Above the base is a fine socle that holds the acanthus leaf decorated upward tapering body which leads to a slender fluted neck. The tapered and fluted top is decorated with additional acanthus leaf carvings and presents the faux candle above.
