About the Item
Made in Italy, 1950s.
This is a very rare and exceptional Arredoluce lampit.
It is archived and labeled. It doesn't figure in the catalogues as it might be experimental.
It is interesting that, checking the ceramic pieces made in the same period for the Bitossi company by Sottsass, there are similarities with some ceramic bowls he designed.
In addition to this, there is the red plexiglass cone and the two black and brass rods that support the lamp, which are stylistic and chromatic elements that make us think that this piece could have been made based on a design by Sottsass. This is our personal opinion but we support it with bibliographical documents.
The lamp is vintage, therefore it shows signs of wear, as shown in the photos, but it works and has no breakages. This is a proof of absolute authenticity. It is ready to become a piece in a home or a gallery as a piece of great collector's value.
