Vintage sculptural ice glass Excalibur Lamp by Gino Poli for Ettore Fantasia
About the Item
Floor lamp from the Excalibur series by Ettore Fantasia and Gino Poli for Sothis, 1970s. Made of transparent Murano glass with glass paste inclusions and chrome-plated metal base.
The unique shape of the lamp made possible by using glass extrusions creating unconventional, organic forms that can resemble natural elements like waves, leaves, or flowing frozen water. These irregular shapes enhance the visual interest of the lamp and make it a striking focal point.
The irregularities in the extrusions can introduce varying textures and layers, allowing for light to interact with the surface in unique ways. This interplay can create captivating light patterns and shadows when the lamp is illuminated.
The light has a solid chromed metal base and each glass element is screwed in to it , it needs to be manipulated with care,
in perfect working conditions
