About the Item
Floor Lamp in glass - Mid century Lighting - Collectible Design
Wonderful, rare and collectible floor or sideboard lamp from the 1970s, Italian Space Age style, crafted in maculated Murano glass - which is, a clear glass with inclusion of white opaline "stains" that create an irregular and mesmerizing pattern.
Designed in the style of celebrated authors like Carlo and Aldo Nason or Giusto Toso, it might have been produced by Mazzega or Leucos; however, the absence of labels or signatures only leaves one wondering who could be the real mind behind it.
Anyway, it's absolutely stunning in its timeless conical shape and material choice, with a very avantgarde match between Murano glass and chromed metal. It is currently fitted with two red and blue lights at the base to increase the wow effect.
Preserved in thoroughly original conditions, the lamp is in perfect working order and has no signs of damage, only patina from the time.
