Top quality handcrafted and large size entry-hall lantern with thick transparent glass.
Finding the right light for your entry hall in this day and age certainly is not easy. Whenever we look at new light fixtures it seems like every year the materials and the methods with which they are made become cheaper. It is for that reason too that we have never had to regret becoming antique sellers, because the quality of most pieces (not just light fixtures) around the 1900s was probably the best that there ever was. This antique Arts & Crafts lantern is another one of those beautifully handcrafted and very stylish ceiling lamps that we have become known for at home and abroad. This quality made pendant with its circular design comes with the original and beautiful thick glass shade. If this lantern will hang relatively close to your walls then (with the light switched on) you will also be able to see the 'reflections' of the different sections on your wall. The beautiful patina of the brass frame and the circular and 'wavy' top combines perfectly with the transparent glass, making this Arts & Crafts light fixture an absolute joy to own and look at. And with the light switched on, this rare work of lighting art with its timeless look and feel radiates a warm light that will create just the perfect atmosphere in an entry hall or on a landing. Apart from some superficial scratches to the outside of the original glass shade, this rare pendant is in very good condition. It is also rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and thanks to the chain it can easily be adjusted to a height that is perfect for you. Thanks to the metal hook inside the original brass canopy, safely mounting this light to your ceiling can be done in a few minutes.
