About the Item

Sconce in a rare aqua blue porcelain and opaline glass shades designed by the German designer Wilhelm Wagenfeld, who studied at the Bauhaus school. Dating from 1958 this wall light has sleek, round and elegant lines, a timeless design that will look equally at home in an antique or modern interior. The exceptional quality of the opaline creates a soft, yet efficient light, and the blue porcelain is very shiny. It can be used in a bathroom, above a mirror, in a corridor, an entrance hall, or a bedroom for instance. One has a slightly lighter blue colour. Equipped with two standard E14 screw bulb holders, LED compatible. We also list separately other similar model by Wagenfeld.

Located in Vienna, AT
A Midcentury Modern double socket wall lamp/sconce dating back to the 1950s, designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld. Made of porcelain with a glossy grey glaze accentuated by two white opaline glass lampshades/bulb covers. Based on our experience so far, the gray version is relatively rare and also one of the most in demand. Executed by Linder Wandleuchten in Germany, this piece offers two E14 light sources and is preserved in excellent condition. The lamp is delivered in a way that allows for hassle-free use worldwide and complies with the standards commonly used in different regions (USA, EU, etc.). This minimalistic wall light is suitable for various rooms, with a particular recommendation for bathrooms or as a vanity mirror light. Born in 1900 in Bremen, Germany, he was particularly acclaimed for his works in the Bauhaus style and later contributions to modern design. His notable designs include the Bauhaus Table Lamp (1924), also known as the "Wagenfeld Lamp," the Kubus Chess Set (1928), a minimalist chess...
