About the Item

Extremely rare, modular, sculptural large wall lamp BT1 in stainless steel with low-voltage lights with magnetic, movable Perspex/Lucite cylinders and a movable cube, that can be detached from the main board and repositioned with ease in any part of the main board. Can be positioned vertically or horizontally (e.g. at the end of a corridor). Duccio Trassinelli of Studio A.R.D.I.T.I. patented this original lighting system in the early Seventies and made it a highlight of Sormani's Nucleo Division, a special, state-of-the-art department for lighting designs and accessories of all kinds. These unique Sormani lighting systems are a first example of sculptural lighting, way before the Oled technique came to life. The piece bears the original Sormani Nucleo label and has a certification in vintage original letterhead by the owner. Full size of panel 90 x 180 x 2 cm (2.95 x 5.91 x 0.07 ft). Cube is cm 25 x 25 x 11.5 (ft 0.82 x 0.82 x 0.38) European cabling 220V AC - we can recable it according to US specifications. Easy wall mount with four hooks. The two panels must be perfectly attached to one another for best electric contact. The piece comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity" on original vintage letterhead of the Manufacturer.
