About the Item

This set of two Krüger wall lamps is in good condition. The chrome frame displays an attractive patina, slightly more pronounced on the back of the lamps, and the opal glass of the lamps is in perfect condition and undamaged. The lamps are controlled via a push button switch attached to the side of the housing. Rolf Krüger has created an absolutely timeless classic of lighting design that still has many admirers today. German designer Rolf Krüger designed the lamp in the late 1960s for the lighting manufacturer Neuhaus Design, which had been developing progressive and innovative lighting fixtures since 1947. Neuhaus Design was founded by Heinz Neuhaus.

Doria Big Ball Space Age Ice Glass table lamp, 1970
By Doria Leuchten Germany
Located in Ludwigslust, DE
A Big Ball table lamp in the rare version with an extra large glass body. The hand-blown glass diffuser shows no signs of damage and has the typical bubbles in the glass which additionally scatter the light. The lamp consists of 4 rods with chrome-plated bulbs on the head, as well as three glass bulbs of different heights which also provide lighting effects. The chrome-plated aluminum base shows an age-appropriate patina. Due to the height of the lamp, it can also be placed as a floor lamp. The German lighting manufacturer Doria was founded in 1945 and specialized in the production of high-quality and unusual lights. In the 1960s, the world's largest light was produced. The Doria Big Ball...
