About the Item

This pair of French Empire sconces are made of bronze and date back to the 19th century. The pair features a beautiful large torch back-plate with a floriate design at bottom, as well as horn-shaped bobeches. Each arm is adorned with acanthus leaves, scrolling inwards at bottom and ending with eagles’ heads. A combination of details which result in a pair of classic and stately sconces.
