About the Item

An elegant and most attractive pair of French Turn of the Century Louis XVI st. Glass and Silvered metal sconces, attributed to Maison Bagues. Each truly stunning two arm sconce is centered by an elegant urn shaped Glass finial decorated by Silvered pressed Metal jagged bands and scrolling foliate etchings. Emerging from the top of the urn are the two 'S' scrolled arms with their floral pedaled Silvered Metal bobeches and candle cups. Also coming from the top of the urn are three foliate decorated branches accompanied by a Glass sunflower at the base as well as at the peak.
