Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Five-Arm Sconces
About the Item
A stunning and large scale pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and Baccarat crystal five arm sconces. Each sconce is centered by beautiful and richly chased berried and foliate movements with finely etched designs below a large acanthus leaf. The central fut displays a most elegant shape from where the five S scrolled arms over two levels extend. Each arm displays striking thick cut Baccarat crystal pendant and fine foliate candle cups. Leading up are most decorative scrolled ormolu sprays with Baccarat cut crystal pendants and a charming and wonderfully executed twisted rope design tied in a bow at the top. All original gilt throughout.
