About the Item

A pair of French painted iron wall-mounted lanterns from the mid-20th century. This pair of vintage sconces from France each have lantern style bodies which are extended outward from the wall by a curved, overhanging back post, each decorated with iron cross-bars over newer glass sections and a scrolling motif at tops and undersides. The back-post is adorn with an elongated and twisted iron c-scroll bar. These sconces have grey paint with hints of blue peaking from areas beneath, and an overall lovely aged patina, with chippy bits adding to their character. These mid-century French wall-mounted lanterns would look great flanking a large wall or entryway. The sconces are currently UN-WIRED.
