Antique Art Deco Ceramic Perfume Table Light with Seated Asian Female & Flowers

About the Item

This antique perfume light is unsigned with respect to the maker, but originated frm Japan and dates to approximately 1920 and done in the period Art Deco style. The light is composed of molded ceramics with hand-painted details and depicts an Asian female seated with a basket of flowers on steps. The lamp has a small heat bulb which fits into the base and a small resevoir on the top of the bouquet which would hold the perfume which is activated from the heat to scent the room. The light is clearly stamped "Made in Japan" n the bottom, and is in working order, but the original silk cord is quite worn as presented.
