About the Item
A most impressive and highly detailed pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Fleur de Pêcher marble and Ormolu lamps. Each beautiful urn mounted into a lamp is raised on a stepped marble base with cut corners and supported on an Ormolu plate with ball feet. Above the marble base is a socle with a berried Ormolu band around its base. Above the marble socle is a highly detailed acanthus leaf decorated Ormolu mount which holds the marble body above. The attractive marble body is decorated with berried scrolling foliate decorated handles on each side and a twisted laurel vine designed Ormolu band around the neck. Atop the body of each stunning lamp is a marble socle with an egg and dart patterned Ormolu band.
