A refined pair of alabaster table lamps, handcrafted in France around 1890. These elegant pieces exemplify the decorative taste of the late 19th century, when natural materials and classical forms were highly sought after in refined interiors.
Entirely made of carved alabaster, both the turned bases and the cylindrical shades display the stone’s signature creamy translucency, enhanced by natural veining and subtle tonal variations. When lit, the alabaster diffuses a soft, warm glow, creating a gentle ambient light ideal for intimate spaces.
The turned baluster-shaped bases and fluted rims on the shades evoke a neoclassical elegance, while the proportions remain understated and harmonious.
