Pair of French Ormolu Figural Lamps, 19th Century

About the Item

Outstanding opposing pair of 19th century French Louis XVI style ormolu lamps with rouge marble bases. With parcel gilt and paint decorated faux parchment shade. Each ormolu lamp depicting a seated cupid and a standing putto on ewer-form body encircled by doves and exotic birds, resting on a leaf-tip foot, raised on a conforming stepped rouge marble base. This pair is one of the most beautiful lamps we have seen in years. The photos truly do not do them justice. Dimensions: The base measurement is 7 inches x 6 inches. The measurements below are the overall height of the lamps.
