Pair of Hand-Blown White Murano Glass Lamps with 24K Gold Banded Detailing
About the Item
This stunning pair of modernist table lamps were hand blown in Murano- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. They feature cylindrical bullet form bodies that taper at their shoulders where they adjoin 24kt yellow gold flecked Murano glass bands at their collars. Spherical embellishments in frosted Murano glass are bookended on top and bottom by rings of yellow gold- a material that recurs in the orbital finial at the apex of each lamp. Additionally, the fixtures have brass fittings, which offer a beautiful material and tonal complement to the white and gold glass present throughout. With their clean modernist lines and refined color palate, these lamps would be a winning addition to any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition. They come fitted with custom shades, and accommodate two Edison based bulbs each offering up to 400 watts of light for the pair.
