About the Item

Wonderful and unique table lamp made by Swedish artist Louise Adelborg in the 1920s at the "Rörstrand" workshop. The lamp base is made from glazed porcelain decorated with an amazing pink / purple glazing. The lamp is mounted with a white flax linen shade. Marked by maker. From 1915 to her death in 1971 Louise Adelborg, a former art teacher, produced decorative patterns that have always been revered by design aficionados. She first made her name with "Vase" in 1923. Then at the 1930 Stockholm Exhibition she used the same wheat-ear design – this time before the admiring gaze of an entire world – on porcelain that bore the name “Sweden’s National Service” and was later to become Swedish Grace.
