This elegant skyscraper Art Deco floor mirror features a pentagonally shaped book-matched palisander base intersected by a mirrored plane. The sloped face of the base boasts a vertical palisander woodgrain that offers a subtle and striking contrast to the vertical grain that runs perpendicular on the base. The Stand includes a brass mount, which is visually repeated in the brass perimeter tracing the edge of the mirror. This mirror successfully translates the sharply angled forms of Directoire style into a modernist streamline sensibility. It would look absolutely stunning in both a commercial space, such as a high end boutique, or obviously in a domestic space, such as one's bedroom or a dressing room/closet. Mint restored condition.
