About the Item

Antique Federalist style ornate Giltwood Mirror surmounted by an American Eagle Anonymous United States of America; probably early 20th century Giltwood, glass Approximate size: 55 (h) x 27 (w) x 3 (d) in. This elegant mirror is flanked by fluted columns topped by Corinthian capitals. The upper frieze is lined with a series of leaves in-relief with a cornice topped by urns. The frames’ interior filet is lined with a beaded border while the top of the mirror is surmounted by a eagle with a beaded chain-swag in its mouth. Condition commensurate with age. Minor chips nicks along extremities.
