About the Item
Antique faux bamboo mirror with original mirror plate and back, completely in Chinoiserie style, this style was very popular in the Art Nouveau period, originating from France, this copy dates from around 1900.
This beautiful wooden frame is cut and processed to resemble real bamboo, hence the name faux bamboo, this piece has a very nice weathered age patina, the mirror glass is decoratively spotted and also weathered, which often occurs with very old mirrors.
In good antique condition, light signs of age and use appropriate to the age, check the photos for more details!
