About the Item

Vintage small wall mirror features colorful, playful ceramic frame decorated with a textured band of pineapples, flowers, and leaves in bright orange, green, red, and blue colors on yellow background. The inner rim is decorated with a simple red border, juxtaposing the highly detailed decor. The mirror is marked on the back with Ceramica Convento Jesus Maria stamp; the mirror without the frame measures 5.25" by 3.63" Ceramica Convento Jesus Maria was a Spanish ceramic company, located in Aracena, Spain. They are renowned for their colorful Folk Art wall decor, mostly plaques and decorative plates; a mirror is rather rare piece of their work. Provenance: the mirror was acquired from the estate of a prominent antiques and Folk Art collector in Western New York. Sculptural, decorative mirror with whimsical, colorful design and high-quality craftsmanship will make a perfect addition to a wide range of interiors, from Traditional to Modern Country, Eclectic, Transitional, Organic Modern, Grand Millennial, Collected, or Contemporary.
