Jean Rivier was married to Juliette Derel, who also produced ceramic pieces in Vallauris.
The darker mark on the right side of the mirror is not a scratch or a lack of glazing but a drip from the darker colour used by Rivier at the back edge of the mirror.( see close up photo )
