About the Item
A high quality and most decorative Italian 18th century Louis XIV Period Giltwood mirror. This stunning double framed mirror, with original mirror plate, is raised on finely scrolled feet with foliate movements leading up the side. The mirror plate is set within a carved band in a wonderful satin and burnished finish, with Giltwood floral carvings and rosettes at the corners. Above is the removable pierced top crown that displays wonderful foliate designs and carved gadroons with a top floral arrangement. All original gilt and mirror plate throughout.
