About the Item
A decorative and most impressive Italian 19th century Baroque st. Giltwood and patinated wood mirror. This wonderful mirror with its original mirror plate is centered by a scrolling foliate arbalest shaped bottom finial flanked by scrolling foliate corner mounts on each bottom corner. Making our way up to the curving top crown, we pass additional scrolling foliate carvings. The elaborate finely carved pierced scrolling foliate top crown adds a stunning eye-catching aspect to this already beautiful piece. The original mirror plated is framed within a double mottled edge Giltwood frame while the second outer frame showcases lovely floral carvings atop a patinated background.
