About the Item
A very handsome Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. giltwood and black polychrome mirror. The rectangular mirror has a beaded interior trim with large oval running wave and rosette design. At the center of each side is a small mirror insert. Accenting each corner is a large black polychrome acanthus leaf. A Coeur-de-Rai pattern decorates the outside border in black polchrome and gilt. This mirror may be displayed vertically or horizontally.
