An Italian carved wood mirror with it's original painted finish from the early 19th century. This antique Rococo style mirror from Italy features and elaborately carved surround comprised of delicate florals, elongated scrolls, and acanthus leaf embellishments. The crest top has a plaque-shaped crown adorn in foliage and florals. This curvy-shaped mirror retains it's original finish, whose colors include shades of green, blue, diluted red, and gilt. The mirror has likely been replaced at some point in this pieces history. This early 19th century Italian mirror stands approximately 3.75 feet in height and just over 3 feet wide, making it a great focal point to hang over a fireplace mantel, in a living room, or perhaps over a commode in a bedroom or entry foyer.
