About the Item
This is an old mirror made in Japan. It is a one-of-a-kind piece made in the Taisho period (1900s-1920s) and still retains its beautiful appearance despite the passage of almost 100 years.
The frame is made of Japanese cedar wood. The surface is carefully coated with black lacquer, giving it a moist luster and a deep look. The frame is decorated with chrysanthemum flowers, which subtly expresses the traditional beauty of Japan. The chrysanthemum has been a symbol of longevity and integrity since ancient times, and has been used as the crest of the imperial family.
The mirror surface remains as it was in the original period, and although there are some scratches and dings, they accentuate the antique character of the piece. You can rest assured that it will photograph well enough for practical use.
A wire has already been attached to the back so that it can be immediately hung on the wall.
A rare piece that retains most of its original materials and finish.
