About the Item

Decorate a foyer, bedroom, or powder room with this charming Louis XVI-style painted mirror. Crafted in France circa 1970, the tall rectangular frame is crowned with an elaborately carved crest featuring a pair of doves perched amid oak leaves and crossed arrows, a classical motif symbolizing peace, fidelity, and strength. The frame is carved in relief with floral rosettes at each corner and fluted side accents, finished in a soft palette of antique white, pale green, and faded salmon pink. The mirror retains its original glass plate, and a new hanging wire has been added to the back for secure mounting. Measuring 30.5 inches wide by 55 inches high and 1 inch deep, this mirror brings timeless neoclassical elegance and a touch of French romanticism to any traditional or country-inspired interior. Excellent condition commensurate with age and use.
