Part wall art, part functional decoration — Ocrùm’s Chief Designer Sean Zhang got the inspiration by the horizon view of Como lake in north of Milan, Italy and Michigan lake in Chicago, United States, two cities where he both lived in before. After observing the horizon view for both lakes, he decided to transform these memories into an object — mirror.
The Orizon mirror is a window with a view hanging from your wall. An ocean-like rippled surface blends into a colored sky with ever changing reflections. The ceramic piece is glazed by hand and then baked at different firing temperatures to create unique hues and nuances.
Customization of mirror color, ceramic color, and sizing available.

Inspired by the quiet observance of meaningful memories, Ocrùm experiments with both classic and innovative materials combined with influences from Italian craftsmanship. The collections take cues from Creative Director Sean Zhang’s empathic design and attention into detail with a minimalist approach to living. Every piece in the collections shares a poetic story to evoke vivid memories.
Zhang's unique journey in design began during his studies at the Polytechnic University of Milan in Italy, where he specialized in Product Design. He then moved to the United States to continue his studies where he earned a Masters Degree in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. His time in Italy ignited his passion for craftsmanship, and his time RISD encouraged a hands-on approach with ceramic, textiles, wood, and blown glass. The unique journey made him come up with the idea of creating Ocrùm.
Ocrùm's work has been featured on internationally renowned Elle Decor, Interior Design, Surface Magazine, Metropolis, etc.
