An exceptional and incredibly unique Italian 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated and giltwood mirror. The mirror retains its original mirror plate set within a most decorative straight and arched shaped frame. The frame displays a superb array of richly chased floral garlands set on a patinated turquoise background and leading up each side to intricately detailed floral reserves at the arched top. The frame is carved at an angle creating a wonderful trumploy optical illusion making the frame look deeper than it is.
