About the Item

This is a special and rare find. This Louis XIV period 1700-1720s era mirror is done in a gorgeous original gold leaf finish and intricately carved with birds, floral arangements and features and old plate glass mirror with some silver losses here and there but is essentially still very clear. This is a special piece and a perfect focal point for a fine room that needs an important and prestigious piece for that added gravitas. The mirror has normal wear for a nearly 300 year old mirror and will show an old patina, some finish and wood losses on the frame. The mirror measures 49 tall x 28.25 wide x 2.5 deep and has an excellent design and beautiful construction.
