About the Item
From our Hand-Painted Furniture Collection, our blue Roma bed, full posts with raised gesso details and white lotus finials.
We try to not play favourites, but we do have a few! The Roma bed is for sure one of these.
The high Headboard is used like a canvas, gracefully hand-Painted with 18th century Venetian Techniques, passed down through the generations of artists from our land. We decided to add a little texture, by choosing a raised Gesso tulips decor, some in full color, some in monochromatic white on a relaxing, tone down blue background, inspired by our Venetian Lagoon water colors.

Each Porte Italia creation is a bespoke masterpiece made to the exact custom specifications of designers from London, Paris, Milan, the US, the Middle East & India. And often in concert with other Venetian families whose companies have been in business since Marco Polo was a boy. We aim to re-discover the beauty of Venetian Craftsmanship and the flavour of long past traditions, making them available today for our daily use. Our missions is simply to make Art in the form of Furniture.
