From our Hand-Painted Furniture Collection, we are pleased to introduce you to our Light Taupe Roma Bed.
Sometimes a room calls for more subdued furniture.
The subtle raised gesso design against the slightly darker base color on this Roma Bed creates an elegant, refined look that can be paired with a multitude of fabrics and wall colors.
The sweet curves of the headboard and posts surely make for a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home.
Like each one of our pieces, also this Roma Bed may be customized with any color and decoration according to our customers’ requests.
Each piece from our Collections is in fact entirely hand-painted on every side by using the very best 18th Century Craftsmanship Venetian Techniques, passed down through the generations of artists from our land.

You see, every region of Italy has its own traditional cottage industry. And for over 400 years, ours has been painting and decoration for the finest homes, villas and palaces in the world. All by hand. At Porte Italia, there is no factory. And no two pieces are exactly alike. Because every piece is still built, painted and gracefully aged to look as if it was born in 18th Century Venice.
Each Porte Italia creation is a bespoke masterpiece made to the exact custom specifications of designers from London, Paris, Milan, the US, the Middle East & India. And often in concert with other Venetian families whose companies have been in business since Marco Polo was a boy. We aim to re-discover the beauty of Venetian Craftsmanship and the flavour of long past traditions, making them available today for our daily use. Our missions is simply to make Art in the form of Furniture.
